Breast Lift - The Woodlands

A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a commonly sought breast enhancing surgery. It is performed after the effects of pregnancy, gravity, aging and weight change take their toll on the shape or “perkiness” of a woman’s breasts. Over time, a person’s skin loses elasticity and volume causing breasts to sag and lose shape. A breast lift surgically removes excess skin, reshaping the breast for a firmer, more youthful appearance.

Breast Lift Surgery Techniques

Techniques used in breast lift procedures vary depending on breast size and the severity of the ptosis or drooping. The most common is the anchor technique using an anchor-shaped incision encompassing the areola and the lower portion of the breast. Though this technique is the most invasive breast lift procedure, it also provides the most lift and is effective on patients with large breasts and a severe degree of ptosis. Less invasive techniques are also available for patients with smaller breasts and slighter degrees of drooping.
