One of the longest performed breast reconstruction techniques, the Latissimus Dorsi Flap uses skin, muscle, and other tissue from latissimus dorsi region, which runs diagonally across the back from under the arm. Because the tissue used is already located close to the breast region, it can remain attached to its original blood supply, making it less complex than other autologous breast reconstruction techniques. Individual results may vary.
